The first half of this book reviews the history Christ's and the Apostles' connection to the written Word of God, how the books were collected into the book we now call the New Testament. It also gives evidence the Bible is God's revelation, and is trustworthy.The largest chapter deals with the Greek Text-Type of the New Testament. The conclusion is the Byzantine Text (i.e. improved TR, Majority Text) appears to be the best because it has some of the characteristics of what would be expected of New Testament writings: the text is smooth and more complete, but not so smooth between the Gospels that it appears to have been harmonized. This text does not appear to be an edited Text (too many difficult places remain and no editor[s] could have gotten their work widely accepted without leaving a historical record of their deeds). The age of the manuscripts is not a strong factor for the Alexander text since its manuscripts support is found in Egypt, where the dry climate and non-use helped to preserve them. No Byzantine manuscripts are found because of the damp northern climate cause their deterioration.
